The Artsy Craftsy had a Major Rebrand - Why Change is Good

It has been awhile since I blogged. Over the past few months, I have been spending most of my time revamping the blog and enhancing the biz, I got to admit, I kind of missed out on blogging a personal note. It has been an amazing journey, and I have learned so many things, not to mention, life lessons as well.

As most of you know, The Artsy Craftsy has gone through a major revamping. It is pretty obvious judging by its new logo (the colourful T.A.C), new blog design and of course new ideas and projects as well. Can you believe how much things have changed in these couple of months? I remember having that "AHA" moment just late last year in September 2015.

Before that, I spent the first few months wondering if it was a mistake that I left my job. Some of you might know that I left my job last year June to focus on The Artsy Craftsy. I was worried, who wouldn't...but enough was enough. Since then, I have focused my entire energy on making sure that I make that change if I want something to happen.

However, you would be surprised to know that the only plan I had in mind at that time was to rebrand The Artsy Craftsy and give the blog a new brand positioning & look. That was all, simple as that. Little did I know that at that time, that small choice I made, led to big things. Ideas started flowing in, and next thing I know, I grew as the blog grew. I also have my super, supportive contributors to thank for helping me make things happened. I didn't just feel as if I was starting from scratch, but I was pouring away that cup-full of tea, and refilling a new fresh one.

I knew that with change, comes other things as well- whether it is good or bad. It also depends on how we perceive things. The good thing was, the more I focused on going with the flow (as things change), I also learned to accept anything that comes along the way. I stumbled upon a couple of good opportunities too, like being featured by the local English papers and being interviewed on a talkshow. These two became my biggest breakthrough and I thank the Universe for what it has blessed me with.

Life is always changing. We don't know what comes next, but wherever it takes us, know that nothing is permanent. That means, if things are not working out right now, don't give up. Believe that nothing is permanent, and things will eventually fall into place.

Without the sun, it won't rain.
If there is no black, there is no white.
Without tears, there won't be laughter.
When one door closes, the other one opens.

I would like to also share some good news. This year, we have decided to bring creative Malaysians of both talents and enthusiasts closer together through workshops. I thought long and hard before making this second big leap (first will always be quitting my job of course), but like everything else that has been going on in my life, I went along with this change and made the best out of it. This year June 2016, we are expanding offline, bringing our community T.A.C Studio where we will be hosting and conducting workshops featuring local creative artists and makers, as well as other space services too.

We are just as excited as you are, and we hope that with this change, open more doors to possibilities.

Finally, I would like to ask you for just a little bit of your time to sign up on our interest list.
