Top 7 Online Stationery Arts and Crafts Stores in Malaysia to Shop during MCO

Our Malaysian movement control order has been extended, and the thought of it can be overwhelming and anxious for some. It is important to stay busy with creative projects, like painting, crafting, scrapbooking or journaling. If you are concern about the lack of art and craft supplies, or perhaps in need of some stationery, not to worry. You can still shop online with these Malaysian stationery art and craft shops during this time.

A couple of friends have been asking me which local stationery arts and craft online store are available for online shopping. I never really had the need to purchase any supplies as I am well-stocked up in my art and craft supplies. However, I thought it would be a good idea to make a list of highly recommended stationery art and craft shops, most of which I have personally spoken to before writing this article. Make sure you bookmark this list.

1. CZIPLEE

Located in Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur, the Cziplee name is always one of the first on people's minds when it comes to stationery art and craft supplies. You will be happy to know that Cziplee is offering delivery during this period. Delivery arrangement is once or twice a week (in fact, Cziplee's next packing date is on the 16 April 2020- that's tomorrow!) purchase your items soon.

2. PREMIER ART

Offering fine art supplies, Premier Art is still supplying their customers online. Customers can sign up at their online store and get a 10% discount immediately for their purchases. No promo code needed! Delivery will be made 1-2 days time for Klang Valley or any major areas in West Malaysia. Estimated delivery 3-5 days for Sabah and Sarawak. 

Premier Art also mentioned that they will be doing sales promotion from time to time during this period, make sure you keep an eye out!

3. WESTSTAR

WestStar is one of the shops that I visit most often because it is the nearest to me. They are stocked up pretty well too on stationery and art and craft supplies, and consistent when it comes to enquiries on their Instagram. You can shop on their website or on their Shopee store. Shipping will be done within 3 working days. They do have two branches located in different locations, so it is best to check with them on the availability of your items. 

WestStar has also personally informed me that they offer quick self-pick up (only for orders that have been placed and paid) but ONLY at their WestStar The Artshop Taman Melawati branch, Monday to Friday (9am - 6pm). Members can enjoy 5% - 30% discount when they shop online or in store.

4. YELLOWBEE.MY

Another one of my online favourites, I have been recommending Yellowbee.my since its inception a couple of years back. Service is efficient and instant, and the team behind it are knowledgeable about their products too. However, do take note that during this period, you will need to check with them first on your preferred products and available quantity. You can contact them via WhatsApp at 012-6724323. Shipping during MCO will be arranged at least twice a week.

5. LE ART SHOP

I always like small shops with a personal touch; things like friendly customer service where the owner themselves are the ones answering enquiries, or perhaps a fellow artist as well from the creative community. Le Art Shop is an up and coming online art store selling curated art supplies. Their description on Instagram says "A little start up by @cassielelolea offering affordable art supplies for practicing artists."- I like the sound of that. 

Cassie Wong, the humble artist and owner of this cozy art store is now offering 15% off store wide with a minimum purchase of RM80, plus free shipping for purchases above RM180 (Otherwise, shipping within Peninsular Malaysia will be charged at flat rate of RM7).

6. SALT X PAPER STATIONERY & GIFT

Salt x Paper, another stationery art and craft store with a personal touch from Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. The brand is founded by Chrystin Choo, managed alongside with her husband and graphic designer, Aaron Lam. To quote, "Salt x Paper is birthed out of our love for paper goods and passion to preserve ideas, memories and stories." Salt x Paper offers curated art and stationery supplies for art journalling and lettering hobbyists, to creative prints and merchandises and finally designer notebooks. Delivery is made twice a week, and free shipping is offered for purchases of RM100 and above.

7. SCRAP-N-CROP

Finally, we have Scrap-N-Crop, a name no stranger to scrapbooking and journaling hobbyists or paper craft fans. Scrap-N-Crop offers a colourful range of curated stationery art and craft products, and I urge you to check it out. Scrap-N-Crop is doing deliveries, but due to high volume, estimated delivery is 1-2 days from them and a further 2-3 days delay from the courier services. Orders are processed on a first-in-first-out basis.
