If you're the sorta' person who loves
art history/literature or simply a movie-buff, why don't you kick back and relax with these art-related films. When watching the
Girl with the Pearl Earring (starring Scarlett J.) and young Kirk Douglas's Vincent Van Gogh's
Lust for Life, I was mesmerized by how these artists allow their inner creativity emerge. I love
Goya's Ghost too; its dark and haunting storyline portrays how art was used as a form of communication and expression. Also, you'd be able to see the early days of the Art of Print- this movie has modern day actors like Natalie Portman. Something you'd be able to relate if you're not familiar with old actors like Kirk Douglass who plays a very good Van Gogh in Lust for Life. Although, you'd be able to watch how Van Gogh expresses himself with colours and you'd understand why colours are used as a form of therapy in art. Finally,
Modigliani played by Andy Garcia; not many knew that Modigliani was a competitor to Pablo Picasso during their early days.
